The Brittons

We left the morning after conferences for a much needed break from work, school, etc., and headed to Missouri.  The five days we spent there were very busy and we fit a lot of stuff into them!  Our first stop was Tan-Tar-A Resort for one night.  The first thing we did was put our swimsuits on and enjoy the indoor waterpark.  While the weather was great (70 degrees) when we arrived, it wasn't quite warm enough to swim outside.  Gracie and Owen were so excited and spent 2 hours in the water.     Owen at the bottom of one of the slides    Gracie coming out of the BIG tube slide with Nick and Owen waiting at the bottom    Floating in the lazy river   The water was great.  The resort had both a waterpark and a regular indoor pool, but they were in different buildings.  My mom joined to watch the kids swim for awhile and my dad and sister also showed up a little later to say hi.  We ended up e...

Again, we had a lot going on in February.  Wrestling wrapped up, another month of cold and snow, and also a trip to Arizona for me.  Here is a recap....    This is how I found Owen one morning.  I about tripped on him, going upstairs to get kids up for school.    I think this is the sectional wrestling meet at Story City.  Gracie is hanging out with the wrestlers and helping the cheerleaders with her skills.    Owen with Mitchell Broer   No school! I have been slacking and I'm going to try to catch up.  The past few months have been crazy busy.  I'll start with January and try to work my way up to the present.   Christmas with the Merrills All 10 Grandkids   This was at the end of December, but we got together at Nick's mom's with all the siblings and cousins.  We spent the night and had lots of fun, even though it ended up being way too cold to go outside.      Raegan and Gracie at an ISU gymnastics meet    They found Cy at the meet!   January was filled with ISU events, wrestling, and a lot of snow and cold.  The kids went to a few basketball games and gymnastics meets and Gracie took friends with her a couple times.  They still get pretty excited to go to Hilton to see dad and watch ISU.     I was lucky enough to get to take a few friends to the Jason Aldean concert at Wells Fargo in Des Moines.  We made i...
