The past few weeks have gone by quickly and we have been so lucky with the nice weather. We made a trip to the Ozarks and I had spring break while Nick went to St. Louis for NCAA wrestling. We have started outside projects since the weather has been so nice and this will probably continue until next fall when it gets cold again. It has been great letting the kids go outside every day after school and on the weekends. We had a great trip to the Ozarks. We spent some time at my parents' and my sister's, and also went to the state park for an afternoon. The kids did great hiking on the trails with us and they had a blast! They were climbing all over the rocks. We also took lunch to have a picnic. They love doing almost anything outside. Nick took them down by the water and Owen's reaction was "Brrr......

Wrestling has come to a close and we have found other fun things to keep us busy. The weekend after state wresling, we stayed at the waterpark/resort in Des Moines. This was so much fun for our kids and they were exhausted. It took Owen a little while to be comfortable with getting in the water. He is not a big fan of being cold. I sat with him by the hot tub for about a 1/2 hour and then convinced him that he could go down the slide. After he figured out that it was fun, he didn't want to leave the slide and Gracie helped him a lot, but he was doing it all by himself by the end of the night.
