Let it Snow!!! Lots of it!!!

Image
Looking at all the snow This is how we want her to eat her yogurt... This is how she wants to :) Annie and Gracie at Thanksgiving Great Grandma reading to Gracie I can't believe it has already been over a month since I posted anything. I also can't believe that Christmas is practically here!!! We had a very good Thanksgiving down at the Lake and also got to spend time with Nick's mom. Gracie even got to ride horses, thanks to the nice weather. Too bad that did not last much longer. The weekend after that, Gracie stayed with her Gramma for a night. Nick had a wrestling tournament and I spent the day and evening shopping with some friends. We also had the ISU vs Iowa wrestling meet that weekend. That was fun, but disappointing, as ISU lost. Ballard. however, is doing very well again this year. Not quite as solid as last year, but they should do pretty well if everyone stays healthy. We got lots of snow the next week and Nick and I both took a day off from work to shop. There...

Pictures!

These are just a few pictures that were taken yesterday at Target. I couldn't believe they were up already this morning. I'm glad we have the pictures, but I won't be doing that again for a long time. Gracie did fine during the sitting, but got very impatient while we were ordering photos. This weekend also involved the All-State Music Festival. Nick's younger brother Zachary made it into the band on French Horn. I was going to go, but by the time we were done eating, Gracie was wiped out, so I just too her home. Nick worked at it, so he was there for quite awhile after the event was done. The previous week, I went to the ISU/Colorado football game, which was fun. I didn't get to stay for the whole game, but I was glad that I got to go. Nick's mom came up to stay with Gracie again while I went. The week before that was another football game, but I didn't go to that one. We have been able to get outside quite a bit since the weather has been so n...

Happy Halloween!!

Baby Tink Carving pumpkins... and playing with goop. Tinkerbell with a binkie Gracie had Halloween at daycare yesterday and got to dress up in her costume. I'm sure the costume did not last long, though. She also had fun last night carving a pumpkins with her dad. She was very good at taking the insides out and putting them in the garbage. She avoided eating most of it! Saturday should be fun Trick or Treating!

Welcome Fall!

Look at my teeth! Playing outside Dad's boots are too big! Pickin ' apples At the orchard Pumpkins and Gourds Climbing in all by myself It has been well over month since my last post and we have been busy. I guess I will start with our most recent activities and work backward. This past weekend, was my cousin Alison's wedding which we all went to. Like an idiot, though, I forgot my camera, so I have no pictures of Gracie in her cute dress. She was a rock star, and danced for quite some time at the reception. She was all over the place and had tons of fun. It was hard to get her to leave even though she was pretty tired. My parents were also back for that and my mom got to stay with her for a day while Nick and I were at work. We also went down to Nick's mom's for the first time in a long time this weekend. It was such a nice day and we all spent a lot of time outside. Gracie was a bit more timid around the big horses this time, but still willing to ge...

The Wedding

Dad, Annie, and Mom Annie and me Gettin' hitched Gracie playing on the stairs at the hotel Gracie at the wedding Mom and Gracie Ryleigh, Dad and Gracie at the reception Annie and Chad making their entrance at the reception Yay! Annie and Chad are finally married! And hopefully enjoying themselves in Jamaica right now. Annie came back on Thursday night before the wedding and we went with a couple friends to the Sugarland concert, which was great. It helped that Nick got us 5th row seats on the floor!!! That was a lot of fun. Then on Friday we ran some errands and headed to the site of the wedding to start decorating. The weather was perfect all weekend and everything seemed to go really well. It was so good to see family and have Gracie meet everyone. She was very hesitant around people she didn't know, though. I think she's getting to the point where she knows mom and dad, and doesn't like strangers very much. Otherwise, she did really well and lasted unti...

Happy Birthday Gracie!!!

Image
Gracie at Courtney's for Annie's shower Opening lots of presents! Playing in her new toy box Gracie's birthday cake She really enjoyed eating it. Wow! One year old already! I can't believe it. Gracie's birthday was a success and I am so glad that everyone was able to come. Gracie didn't really know what was going on, but she had a great time. We had her birthday party at a local park in Huxley and almost 30 of our friends and family came to join us. Gracie got to play with her cousins at the playground and run around all afternoon. She opened lots of new toys and clothes. Well, kind of. She wasn't really interested in opening the presents except to get ahold of the paper to eat it. She loved the birthday cake, though. We let her have the top layer all to herself and she destroyed it. It was pretty funny to watch. Earlier in the day, we went to a bridal shower for my sister. Gracie attended, but again, wasn't all that interested in the s...

Driving with Ryleigh Gracie and Tony Here are a couple of pictures from Gracie staying with Nick's mom. She learned that she could get in and out of the car all by herself. I was impressed. I'm really glad she had fun and was good for them. At least I hope she was! I also forgot to add that Gracie had one more tooth come through. So now she has nine.

Busy, busy, busy!!!

Swimming in her pool Playing with Dad Looking out the window I can't believe we're already halfway through August! Two weeks ago, Nick and I took a mini-vacation down to Kansas City. He had meetings down there on a Friday and I went down later in the afternoon to meet him. I met his mom to drop off Gracie and she spent the a few days down with the Merrills. It sounds like they had a great time and Gracie got to see all of her cousins again too. Nick and I also had a really good time. We got to stay at the Westin Crown Center, so there was a lot to do right there that didn't require a lot of driving. We spent one afternoon at Worlds of Fun and one evening in the Power and Light District. It was a lot of fun! The following week, Nick and I both took off work to get more accomplished on our house. We got rid of our old furniture in the living room and replaced it with a new sofa, loveseat, and chair. We also spent a lot of time on the upstairs again, painting and staining....

Swimming and Parties!

Swimming again in the Lake Annie and Mom at the shower Lucas, Gracie, Tony and Ryleigh in the pool Gracie playing outside Gracie thought she should open some presents at the bridal shower It has been another eventful few weeks. Gracie's cousins came down for an afternoon a couple weeks ago and they all got to swim in our backyard. That was pretty fun. Nick and I also went canoeing that weekend down by his mom's house. It was a bit longer than we expected, but we had a really good time. Gracie got to stay home with a babysitter for the day and did fine. She wouldn't have enjoyed the canoe all that much. Gracie was also sick for a week or so. I guess it was just a virus, but all the kids at daycare were not feeling very well. She's has been feeling much better. I think Nick also had whatever she had, but it didn't last nearly as long with him. He also spent a few days in Minnesota last week, so Gracie and I were on our own again. We have also visited...

Helping with laundry Mowing with dad Eating breakfast at the campground This is where we stayed. Floating in the lake. It has been a couple weeks since I posted anything. Gracie and I got through our week without Nick. It was so nice to have him back!!! That weekend was Nick's birthday. Mary and one of her friends came up to spend the night and go to the Keith Urban concert with us. That was really fun. The concert was better than I expected it to be! We didn't do much else for Nick's birthday, but that's what he wanted. For the 4th of July, we spent the weekend camping at Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Nick and I haven't gotten to camp for a really long time and it was great to do it again. We also got to see my family again. So we took Gracie, Jasmine and a truck full of gear down to Missouri. Gracie did really well and I was really impressed with Jasmine. She is so much better than when we first got her. The weather wasn't the best, but at least it wasn...
