National Anthem
Gracie and Adisen - she will be missed

Didn't win this tip

But we won the game.

Pregame preparation
Also on Nick's list of skills - ankle taping

Won this tip!
The game against Owensville started great!  We scored the first 6 points, but then didn't score again until the 2nd quarter.  We ended up being down 23-11 at halftime and Gracie had scored 9 of our points.  Not a good sign for our shooters.

Gracie in the first possession.
She got the tip and she scored.

Waiting to get back into the game.

We weren't able to get very close after the first half and we could all tell the end was inevitable.  It was a very strange end to an equally strange season.  I won't go into details, but there were so many situations that I had a lot of questions.  Anyhoo... the season is done and we were able to pull out 10 wins.  Hopefully our young team will keep improving and we can have a great season next year.  Gracie is insistent that she will continue to play through her senior year.  Now we will wrap up with the end of the year banquet.

Here are a couple more pretty good photos that I found after posting state wrestling updates.

Captains for the 24-25 season
Three of them are first-year high school wrestlers.

CWC
After state wrestling was done, these CWC alum got together at the youth wrestling practice before the younger kids went to state.  Pretty elite group of young men right here.  All former CWC wrestlers and all but one are state qualifiers/place winners.  It's pretty impressive.  The one who did not go to state sits behind a state placer at Hickman, which says a lot.  GREAT group of kids representing Hickman, Tolton, Boonville, Southern Boone, and Battle High Schools.

The weather has not been great, but we get glimpses of sun, warm, and spring.  Every time we think the weather is changing for good, just kidding, it's going to snow again.

We have moved on to spring like things; attending Mizzou softball games, walks/runs outside, track.  Yep, Owen decided that he was going to work out with the track team this spring, after a week of not doing anything after school.  I believe he made it clear to the coach that he does not intend to compete.  He is also still wrestling a couple nights weekly and will switch to freestyle after this week.

Gracie's softball schedule will keep changing, I'm afraid.  We have a tentative, updated schedule. But I'm not confident that it will actually happen.  I think the only thing we are fairly certain of right now is competition in Colorado and Indiana.  End of June and July.  Oh, we were made aware yesterday that they are competing in Oklahoma the last weekend in March... 10 days from now.  Perfect.  Welcome spring.
