Catching Up With Gracie

Gracie's basketball season is also winding down.  They are now done with regular season games, and districts begin this week.  We play Blair Oaks at California Tuesday night.  This season has been challenging in so many ways, but it is great to see a couple pictures with smiles.  The last few weeks have kind of been a mess with the weather and trying to reschedule and add more games.

Not sure what this look is for.

There's a smile!!!

Playing at Hallsville.
We got a win!!

Tipoff against Mexico!
Gracie's softball teammate, Hannah is in the backcourt.
We got this win, too!

I think I mentioned that SBC Basketball Senior night was scheduled for the same day that district wrestling began.  Unfortunately, that meant I had to decide which event I would go to.  Wish I could have done both.  The girls and moms did a great job of decorating and I'm sure our seniors felt loved.

One more pic of our two seniors

I watched their game from Seneca High School gym while waiting to watch Owen's first match.  He didn't actually wrestle until after 8pm, so I got to watch all of Gracie's game without much interruption.  We ended up losing to Boonville by quite a bit, which I wasn't expecting.  I had hoped that we would play much better against them, but we did not.

So, we went on to play a couple more games that were added to make up for a week of snow.  We went to Odessa and Warrenton to play during our last week of regular season games.  Both were over an hour away.  Both games were very frustrating.

Gracie shooting her free throws at Odessa.

Gracie played well against Odessa, but the team fell short.

Pizza after the game... Gracie taking the whole box.

Oh... maybe she'll share.

Gracie won this tip!  But no one from Southern Boone grabbed it, unfortunately.
I am still surprised that he has her jumping.
We ended with another loss at Warrenton.

So, the girls had a pre-district retreat yesterday.  They went bowling, out to eat, and then team building.  Hopefully this will help with motivation to win on Tuesday.  It would be great to get to 10 wins this season.

Other events....  Here are some pictures from the Aces Banquet.  Nick went to this with Gracie four weeks ago. They gave awards from the previous season and honored the seniors who will be in their last season with Aces.

Not sure which aware this is.

Gracie was offensive player of the year for 16u
She also set the record for most Homeruns in a season for 16u.
She beat Kali by just one.

Brookie and Gracie made honor roll!
Kathy sent me the picture.
Owen did too, but I didn't get a pic of him.

Super bowl fun!
These kids chose to hang out with the adults for awhile.
I think it was mostly for the food though.
I love that Hud and Chase wanted to hold hands, too.

We also found time to try on prom dresses... found one, but it took an hour and a half.  Glad she tried this one.  It was not one that she picked, but the lady who owns this brought it to her.

Emerald is beautiful on her.

Love the back, too

Hanging out with Chase after his game.
I think this was after the boys' senior night.

Still snow on the ground here.

But not anymore.
We finally had a week with decent weather.
The sun keeps coming up.
