Another Busy Week

Summer School, dance, baseball, softball, a visit from Grandma Deb, Cub Scout Day Camp, and a new family member.  Just a few things in the past week.  I think I left off last Wednesday, the day before Deb came to visit.  Since then we have had a few more games, a dance recital, and a new baby join the family

Visiting Annie in the hospital

River has been staying with us while Annie and Chad stay in the hospital.  I think he has fun here.

River loves his new scooter that Grandma KK gave him.  Since then, Annie has had her baby.
Kaia Jeanne Wearmouth, born at 34 weeks and weighed a hefty 5 pounds at birth.  I am waiting to post pictures of her until after she is out of the NICU.  Hopefully that will be in a couple weeks.  I got to see her and Annie has been able to hold her and spend time with her almost every day.  She's getting stronger every day and Annie should be discharged Tuesday.  We're so happy for Annie and Chad and also happy that they're so close so we can help.

Deb arrived on Thursday afternoon and didn't get a lot of down time before heading to pick up Owen from his Cub Scout Day Camp and then on to Gracie's softball games.  We were busy from the time she got here until we went to bed after 10pm.  The kids were exhausted the next day and Owen still had another day of camp.  Luckily, Gracie was able to stay home and hang out with Grandma.  We also took Deb down to see our new construction, after having burgers for lunch at our house.  Here are some new pictures.

Looking at the rear.  The porch rafters are done and the roof rafters are almost done.  Most of the interior is framed in.

Another rear view.

This is the main level interior looking toward the front entryway.  The ceiling is vaulted to the second level and a window will be directly over front door.

Since then, we visited again and more of the sheeting has been put on for the walls.  The porch rafters are done I can't wait to see what else happens this week.

Dance Recital

Gracie spent most of the day on Saturday, after having a softball practice for 2 hours prior to that.  She had a few hours at home that afternoon before we returned for the performance.  She was so excited to dance and tumble again!  She did a great job and I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but her stage presence amazes me.

Grandma can still hold her.  Probably not much longer!

This picture was complete luck.  I have no idea how I was able to get a somewhat clear picture of one of her kicks.

However, when I zoom out, she is the only one kicking, so something must be a little off.  Maybe everyone else is off. :)

For her ballet, there were 5 classes that collaborated to do a ballet to the "Cats" musical.  It was awesome and worth watching 2 1/2 hours of other stuff to watch it.  All of the dancers did such a good job.

The whole ensemble for CATS.  Grace is in the back row and you can see her through the "windows"  She was a grey Victoria Cat.

Gracie taking a nap on Sonita.  Just kidding.  She wasn't really sleeping.

Thor really is taking a nap here.

Sprinkler fun!
