So, it's been awhile

I realize that the last time I posted anything was when the temperatures were still warm and we were all still wearing shorts and t-shirts.  Naturally a lot has happened since September.  These are a few pictures that were taken a couple months ago.  I have not had a camera since then, as it broke and I replaced it just last weekend.  Nick has had his camera on his phone, but it's not very convenient for me to take pictures.  These pictures are from Center Grove Orchards in October.  The kids love it out there and had a great time.      Gracie and Owen    Gracie and Dad    Owen in the corn pool    We love caramel apples!    Gracie and Owen in the Ozarks   The new swingset being built   It's hard to recall everything that has happened in the past couple months.  We made a trip to the Ozarks at the beginning of November and Nick built the...

Dance, Football, Horses, Play...What else can we do?

Gracie's first day of dance   Gracie started dance a few weeks ago and loves going every week.  She is happy to stay there by herself and shows me her dance moves when she gets home.  Gracie has learned a few things, and is working on her cartwheels.     Starting the new swingset  Nick has started putting up the new swingset.  Yes, those are telephone poles cemented into the ground. They had been sitting on a flatbed until a friend of ours happened to drive by on his giant lift and let Nick borrow it to get the poles off the bed.  It's far from done, but at least he has started on our giant play set.     Owen looking on in awe at the high school football practice  Nick took this picture when they had gone to a volleyball game and practice was still going on at the school.  It is amazing how much Owen loves football.     Riding horses at Grandma's    Owen r...

Happy Birthday!

Gracie and Owen had a great birthday weekend.  I was a little afraid that it would rain on Sunday, but the day ended up being perfect.  Gracie had 7 of her friends from school come over for a couple hours in the afternoon and we had some family over, as well.  Owen looked very confused when he woke up from his nap around 1:30 to a full house.  I think we had over thirty people at our house, which was great!  They both loved their cakes and were pretty excited about opening presents.   Gracie is already getting used to preschool and it's amazing the difference in her coloring ability from just six months ago.  She is able to stay in the lines now, and still loves painting and using glitter glue.  She had her first dance class yesterday on her birthday, which she loved.  Owen went with me to take her, and was very upset that he could not stay.    Owen is also getting so big!  He is using the potty more ...

August....Where did it go?

Image
There has been so much that has happened since my last post.  I have added a lot of pictures here and the next post will have pics from their birthdays.  My mom came to visit at the beginning of the month, so the kids got some quality time with Grandma.  We visited my Grandma Jeanne and took the kids swimming at her pool again.  That seems like such a long time ago.  This picture is just Gracie being Gracie.  We fill up the water tank at home and the kids think it's great.  I think this picture was when she wanted to go help Nick take care of horses at the neighbors' but didn't want to take her swimsuit off.         Looking good Gracie!   Next we went to Ohio for for five days.  We left on a Wednesday and came back late Sunday night.  Nick's cousin Bethany got married, so we saw all of his family.  It was great to see everyone, and I had never been out there before.  The kids loved playing ...

We went t...
