Happy Birthday!

Gracie and Owen had a great birthday weekend. I was a little afraid that it would rain on Sunday, but the day ended up being perfect. Gracie had 7 of her friends from school come over for a couple hours in the afternoon and we had some family over, as well. Owen looked very confused when he woke up from his nap around 1:30 to a full house. I think we had over thirty people at our house, which was great! They both loved their cakes and were pretty excited about opening presents.

Gracie is already getting used to preschool and it's amazing the difference in her coloring ability from just six months ago. She is able to stay in the lines now, and still loves painting and using glitter glue. She had her first dance class yesterday on her birthday, which she loved. Owen went with me to take her, and was very upset that he could not stay.

Owen is also getting so big! He is using the potty more and more, but still has a ways to go before we switch to pull ups. He will go before bed every night and will tell me that he needs to go, but this is the only time that he lets us know. Owen can throw a ball with either hand pretty well and can also drop kick any type of ball. He tries to throw up a baseball and hit it with a bat. Once in a while he gets it. Owen can put sentences together now. I think he's up to about five words. Sometimes he's hard to understand, but it's getting better.

They both have their annual check ups next week, so that should be interesting to find out how much they have both grown. Here are the pictures from last weekend and on Gracie's actual birthday.
