So, it's been awhile

I realize that the last time I posted anything was when the temperatures were still warm and we were all still wearing shorts and t-shirts.  Naturally a lot has happened since September.  These are a few pictures that were taken a couple months ago.  I have not had a camera since then, as it broke and I replaced it just last weekend.  Nick has had his camera on his phone, but it's not very convenient for me to take pictures.  These pictures are from Center Grove Orchards in October.  The kids love it out there and had a great time.

The new swingset being built

It's hard to recall everything that has happened in the past couple months.  We made a trip to the Ozarks at the beginning of November and Nick built the kids a swingset/playset which was done sometime in October, I think.  As one of our neighbor's phrased it: "King Kong's swingset."  It's pretty big.  I can't wait until spring when the kids can use it again.

Gracie and Owen are eagerly anticipating the arrival of snow, winter, and of course, Santa.  We took them to the mall last weekend to see Santa, but looking at him from afar was enough for Gracie.  It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas is now under a week away.  The kids have helped bake cookies, wrap presents, and decorate this year.  Everything takes a little bit longer, but they are usually happy to help with everything.  Especially when it involves getting some cookie dough.

Wrestling is underway, once again.  I have taken Gracie and Owen to a few meets, but Gracie is increasingly reluctant to go.  Owen, however loves to go to the meets.  He likes to tackle, wrestle, run and throw things.  Ballard's team is doing pretty well so far.  I'm not sure what their record is, but I think we have won most of our duals.

I have finished another grad school class.  Only 7 more and then I start my practicum and internship.  I am really looking forward to the day that I don't know what to do because I have no studying or papers to write.

We are really looking forward to the next week or two.  Christmas will be fun with our families and the kids are both looking forward to the bowl game in Memphis.  Hopefully I will be able to do a better job at updating our blog.  Merry Christmas to all!
