Ozarks Trip

Look at those blue eyes!

Climbing on, over, and through everything
We made our trip to the Lake for Memorial Day. Nick's mom and her family made a vacation about it too. It was a great time and we had pretty good weather. We got to swim, boat and do go-carts. We also did the wave runners for an afternoon. We even celebrated a special birthday for one of the Merrill family members! I think everyone had a pretty good time.
It was so great to see my family again, too and I'm glad we could all be together. Gracie got to do almost everything with us. She missed out on go-carts, but she got to spend time with Grammy. She loved the water, but didn't seem to like the life jacket so much. The boat put her to sleep for awhile. We also took her to Ha-Ha Tonka (sp) State Park with us and rode in the jogger while we hiked a little bit. She always enjoys walks.
Gracie is doing very well. She goes in for her nine month check up next week. I can't believe she is nine months old. She continues to sleep through the night most nights. She had another tooth come through the other night, so now she has six. She is eating a lot of real food and I think she is starting to like that a lot better than baby food. She had potatoes, carrots and corn tonight with us while we had dinner. It was nice because she took a late nap in the afternoon so she made it until we had dinner to eat. She is still climbing on things and crawling wherever she can get to. Not walking yet, though. I thought she would be closer by now. She's still pretty unsteady.
This weekend we are pretty busy. I have Dam to Dam on Saturday. I am pretty excited to run my first race, post pregnancy. Annie and Chad are also coming this weekend. Courtney's birthday party is this weekend and we will be going to Des Moines again to get the bridesmaid dresses ordered! Lots of exciting stuff going on! The following weekend we have a wedding down in the Ozarks and then Nick has a few trips he has to make for work. It will be a busy June and I'm sure it will pass very quickly. I will update more after Gracie has her check up. I don't know if I will have more pics, as I left my camera out in the rain and don't know if it will work again. At least the memory card wasn't damaged!

Good morning Sarah. I left a message on a really old post and decided to get to the more recent pics. I showed your blog to grandpa this morning and he loved seeing all the pictures. Can't wait to see you all in September. We're having a bday party here for grandpas 85th next Sat. Wish everyone could come like on his 80th. Have a fun time at the wedding this weekend in the Ozarks. Love, Liz
