Lots going on...
There has been a lot going on for the past couple weeks. We have been down to Nick's mom's both weekends so far in May. Gracie got to see her cousin Ryleigh the first weekend, which was fun. They are finally able to play together. They both got to ride horses that weekend, but unfortunately I wasn't out there to get pictures of that.
The following week, Gracie had another tooth come through, so now she has five. The newest one is on the upper right and I think the upper left is soon to follow. She had a couple rough days, but she's a champ. She was struggling to take naps and sleep at night, but she's still doing well most nights. She is down to two naps during the day most days. Sometimes she needs that thrid one still, though. Just when we think we have figured her out, she changes again. I suppose we will always be a step behind. She is so happy, though, almost all the time. I think she is finally healthy again too. She had a stuffed up nose last week, but that seems to have cleared up.
We took her to a wedding on Friday night and she did really well until about 9pm. We had to head home after that. She's getting good with eating real food, and still willing to eat baby food. That makes it easy a lot of the time. Especially since I am not ready to have to make dinner every night on time. :)
We did a lot of work outside this past weekend and cleaned up our yard, planted more stuff and tried to do a little landscaping. We went to Nick's mom's again on Mother's Day. Her miniature horse that was pregnant had her foal on Saturday, so we got to see the new addition. She was pretty funny running all over the place. It's amazing what animals can do when they're so young. Her name is Storm Dancer, Stormy for short. She lets all the kids pet her and again, Gracie was not afraid at all to go up to her. Gracie did get scratched by a cat this weekend, but it didn't seem to faze her.
My dad was here yesterday to visit, but my mom couldn't make the trip. We will be down there to visit in less than to weeks and we're looking forward to it!
