Two Teeth!
During the past couple weeks, Gracie has been making lots of changes. She is spending a lot more time on her tummy and is becoming more mobile. Her first tooth came through on 2/6 and she got her second one on 2/10. She really hasn't been too fussy about it. I didn't even know that the first one had come through until Nick's mom pointed it out. Her hair keeps growing and before we know it, we'll be having to pull it back out of her eyes. The other night she drank 9 oz., and is usually taking between 7 and 8oz . We have also tried some rice cereal with her and she seems to do pretty well with this. She didn't spit too much of it out and definitely was able to communicate when she wanted more. She doesn't cry like she does with a bottle, though. She still can't stand having the bottle taken away from her to burp.
Gracie and I made a trip down to the Ozarks to help my mom celebrate her birthday. Deb Reefer kept me company on the way down which was very nice. Gracie did great in the car and slept most of the way. When she wasn't sleeping, she played in her car seat. It was good to spend some time with my family and as always, they enjoy seeing Gracie. Gracie was obsessed with Annie and Chad's dog, Ranger, and he was so tolerant of her. He let Gracie pet him and crawl all over him. He didn't lick her to death like Jasmine does, either. It was a short trip, but I'm glad we went. The weather was beautiful down there! Nick had to stay home to coach and Ballard did very well at sectionals. They had 12 champions and 300 team points. It is amazing how good of a team they are.
I took Gracie to see my Grandma in Grimes this week before the regional dual wrestling meet there (which we won). She enjoyed seeing her and is also amazed at how quickly Gracie is changing. Then last night Courtney stayed with her while I was at choir and Nick was at the basketball game. She did well for Courtney and just fell asleep.
I think those are all the updates for now. Nick will have the district wrestling tournament this weekend and we will probably take her to the ISU meet tomorrow night. Lots of stuff to do!
