Celebrations!
So this is me, on my birthday. Apparently I'm 54 +3; so 57??? Notice the glass of wine to get me through...
Gracie happened to be looking at some old pictures on my phone a couple weeks ago and these were her words:
"Mom, you look pretty much the same as you did, but you have more wrinkles."
Thanks Gracie.
Putting the boats in
Canoeing on the pond
Yes, we have found snakes and other fun creatures roaming around.
We even have a pair of geese that have made their home in our yard for the time being.
I think the horses have been enjoying the weather a bit more.
They love laying in the sun.
Thor and Indee being lazy.
And here is Sonita basking in the warmth.
I don't think the actual temperature on that day was even that warm, but the sun feels so good!
Elementary Carnival
The kids loved this one!

ROARS
The annual event for Mizzou student-athletes was held a couple weeks ago. Here is a picture of all the lovely people I get to work with everyday!
Nick took the entire week off last week to get some things done at home. We no longer have a mound of dirt in our front yard, which is awesome. I took the pictures prior to planting the tree in the middle of our circle drive. We will have a giant weeping willow there when we are dead. It will be great! Just kidding; I hope we get to enjoy it prior to death.
He also worked more on cleaning up the yard and organizing his outdoor toys.
I should probably take more pictures of the progress, but this is all I have right now.
Circle drive! It looks so much better.
I will get a picture of the tree there eventually. We will either seed it or add more plants/flowers.
Family!!!!
We are so thankful for all of our family that could come for the Easter weekend. We had fantastic weather, too. I think we had 18 people staying with us on Friday night. Thank goodness Josh and Julie brought their camper! Stephanie arrived with her crew on Thursday night and stayed until Saturday. Everyone else came on Friday. It was a full house!
I took Owen and Lucas to the Mizzou home track meet, which is right next to the baseball stadium. Lucas was wanting to see that. It would have been a lot more exciting if there had been a game going on. But he learned what the hammer throw event looks like!
The girls with Dancer
Saturday morning we had an egg hunt! Most of the eggs were also eaten at that time.
Owen also found a frog.
William and Sawyer are looking for the frog
During the day on Saturday, we watched a lot of softball. I took a break and went to the track meet again for a little bit for senior day. We were so lucky to have such a nice day!
Easter Day we still had Josh, Julie, Deb, Amber, and my parents drove up for lunch. Other than the meal, it was a pretty lazy day.
This was on Sunday after everyone had gone home except Gramma Deb and Amber.
Another boating picture
Later in the afternoon was a little more eventful, as Owen wrecked the dirtbike. He was pretty sore, but ok. And the bike was not damaged. So all is good.
Part of my job is working with Track and Field and Gymnastics student-athletes. I have had the privilege of meeting with Becky for the past 2 years and she is in her final season of eligibility. I was very honored to escort her on senior day, as her parents were unable to attend. She even let me wear her Great Britain jacket to help her represent her country.
Woohoo Becky!
Softball Saturday!
Here are a few pics from Gracie's games on Saturday. They didn't do as well as we hoped, but ended up winning the last game.
Getting ready to steal home.
Nick had her do a delayed steal, which she executed very well.
A little pitching after a couple games of catching.
I think she made it through 3 innings.
And they were exhausted.
More Easter Sunday!
Sawyer and Gracie
Owen found some eggs and candy
Sawyer loves brushing the horses, especially with Gramma.
Hello Indee!!!!
I think she likes the horses!
Let's go fly a kite!
It was a perfect day on Easter Sunday. We were outside most of the day and the only mishap was Owen wrecking the dirt bike. The weekend was wonderful and again, I'm so happy to have everyone come see us!
