Happy Halloween!

Okay...It's been a couple weeks since Halloween, but we had fun.  Owen found all of his costumes from the past and had to try them on again before releasing them to River.  This year we went trick-or-treating in Ashland instead of Columbia and the kids saw a few of their friends from school.  It was nice to be closer to the activities.  Of course, we did pumpkin carving a few days before.

We have gone to Mizzou football games and made a trip up to Iowa to see the Wearmouths.  I got to run with my favorite running partner and catch up on the last several months.  We have started wrestling and basketball.  Gracie's first tournament is tomorrow, but two of her teammates are not going to be there, so we'll see how it goes with only 6 players on the team tomorrow.

Gracie and Owen wrestling
We have been trying to convince Gracie to participate in wrestling practices one night per week, but she is just not interested.  However, she is definitely not reluctant to throw Owen around at home.  It is so hilarious when she commentates while wrestling him.

One foggy morning...we found Thor

Another Mizzou football game.

Pumpkin Carving time!

Owen looks forward to this, Gracie does not.

Getting the gross stuff out of the inside.

Gracie's face...

All done.

And lit up!

Halloween night
Gracie was a penguin this year and Owen was Harry Potter.

I caught another beautiful sunrise!

This is our neighbor's front yard taken from the road between us.

Gracie and Kaia have the same hairdo.
Our trip to Iowa...Yes this is at Hickory Park.  It is still my favorite.

Owen and River

Since then we have had a busy couple of weeks.  The kids had conferences and we are getting to the last few weeks before break.  They are both doing pretty well in school and I'm pretty proud of them.  Gracie is having more trouble with science than she has in the past, but she is a pretty hard worker and wants to do well.  She doesn't seem to let it get to her if she doesn't do as well on a test or quiz. Owen is pretty responsible and wants to do his best all the time.  He is having a fantastic year so far.  They both had really good reports from their teachers

We have had snow and the kids have loved playing outside...especially Owen.  I haven't been impressed with the cold temps, but hopefully it'll get a little warmer again.  We are looking forward to having my family with us next week for Thanksgiving and I signed up for the Turkey Trax Race in Columbia on Thanksgiving Day.  It's a 5k, which I haven't done for a long time.  I haven't even signed up for a race for over a year and a half.  We'll see how that goes.  I tried to get Gracie or Owen to do it with me, but neither of them were interested.  Gracie said she would go watch if someone can take her.

After Thanksgiving break, there are only two weeks of classes left at Mizzou before Finals week.  I can't believe a whole semester is nearing the end.  Mizzou Football is bowl eligible, so we are waiting to see how the season ends up and where we might go.  Nick is traveling with the team this weekend to visit the facilities in Knoxville, TN.

My parents moved out of their condo on the lake and into a house about 10 minutes away.  They are not right on the lake, but they have a beautiful lake view and seem so happy about the move.  Their house in Arizona has had an offer, just yesterday, and they will be closing on that sometime in December.  Annie and Chad are moving at that beginning of December into a house outside of Woodward.  Annie drove me out there when I visited Iowa.  I'm so excited for everyone with the good changes that are upcoming!  It's stressful, but it will all be great when it's done!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!
