Wrapping Up Softball and Baseball
We have all enjoyed the softball and baseball season this spring and I'm so glad the kids are involved. They had their last games this week and both did awesome! Even this morning, they both asked me before school to play catch again. Gracie had a really good hit last night up the third base line and got all the way around on one overthrow after she reached third. Gracie has been invited to play competitive softball this fall, but I think we are going to wait on it still. She wants to do dance, tumbling, and soccer again, so we'll see how that goes and how much time is involved with those activities.
I have loved watching them this spring and am so glad Nick loves being involved with the kids' activities.
Gracie has become quite comfortable behind the plate. She also played outfield last night for an inning. She hasn't pitched as much in the past couple weeks, but still says she likes it.
Nick helping out Owen's team. I have also loved helping Owen's team. We have met some really great people and we're so lucky to be involved in a great program.
Owen, ready to go.
Another great defensive play. Well, maybe not, but it looks good :)
Owen getting some advice from his base coach. Gracie and another player's older brother took it upon themselves to help out with the team. They had a pretty good time together. Gracie is the third base coach for this inning.
During his last game, Owen also had a really nice hit down the third base line. I think he got a double out of it. He just needs to learn not to watch the ball while he's running.
Gracie's softball team. They are a great group of girls.
And they are a little silly
Well, that's it for now. I can't believe how fast it went. Next on our agenda is Iowa for the weekend. Gracie and I get a girls' weekend and Nick and Owen will get to have some fun together, I'm sure.
