7 months and Crawling
The weeks have flown by and I meant to get more pictures up awhile ago, but it hasn't happened. Owen started kind of scooting just before we left for spring break and by the time we came back, he had already improved. Now, just 2 weeks later, he is moving all over the place. He is still a little slow, but gaining speed every day. He is also pulling himself up on everything. He is the only one who is mobile in his class room right now and the teachers have had to move things out of the way for him.
Nick and I had fun in Colorado, although it was a very short trip. We drove out on Friday night before spring break, skied Saturday, then made our way back home on Sunday night. I wish we could have stayed longer. I love Colorado. We stayed with my cousin, Ben, and also got to see one of my friends who lives outside of Denver. Gracie and Owen stayed with Gramma Deb while we were gone and Gracie had a great time. I believe that Owen was good for them most of the time too. He impressed them with his screaming abilities...Not unhappy screams, just very loud. We're trying to teach more of the normal baby babbles.
Gracie was sick for awhile, too. She had a fever and just was not herself for a few days. We took her to the doctor and they gave her some antibiotics. She was feeling better within a few days.
After we returned from Colorado, Nick left for national wrestling in Pennsylvania and I stayed home with kids. I ended up getting sick toward the end of the week, which was no fun. Thank goodness Gramma Deb was willing to take Gracie for a couple more days. I could not keep up with her when I was that sick.
Nick and I have been looking for houses ever since we had an offer on ours. The financing still has not gone through for our buyer, so the closing date is being pushed back a little bit, which is fine, since we don't have anywhere to go yet. Hopefully that will get done soon! We have narrowed our selection down to a couple houses. One is here in Huxley, across the street from the new high school and the other is a new house in Slater. We have looked at the Slater house a couple times and are going to look at the one in Huxley one more time before we make our decision. It's really hard to decide.
I think that is about all the news I have right now. I am in the last quarter for work at school, so the seniors are starting to drive me nuts. I start my graduate program in two weeks and I am anxious to begin that. Hopefully I will be good at managing my time.
