Christmas

Opening presents
Christmas already seems so long ago! My parents came up to visit on 12/21 and stayed until the 23rd. I had to work through the 22nd, but I'm glad my parents were here. They went to an ISU mens basketball game and got to see some of their friends from Saylorville Lake while they were here, too. Mom and I took Gracie with us to the mall on Wednesday when I didn't have school. Then after that, we went to my Grandma's for our Christmas with them. Gracie got lots of neat stuff, but I think her favorite was her new swimsuit that she slung over her shoulder like a purse. It was pretty funny.
On Christmas Eve, we headed to Nick's mom's for Christmas with them. The weather was not bad yet, but we left early just in case. We went to church and then had dinner with them. All of the family was there and it was great!! Christmas day, Santa had come of course, and Gracie was the first to find all of her stuff. She was up at 6am, who knows why. Tony was actually up and ready to go at 2:30am, but I don't think he got to look through his stocking at that time. I'm glad I slept through that! Gracie was content with the first present she opened, and we had to coax her to open the rest of them. She loves her new phone and books she got. She has already used every one of her presents. (her attention span is still very short:) Thank you everyone for all the neat stuff!!! We did not stay much past lunch on Christmas. We had planned on going sledding, but unfortunately, it rained so much that most of the snow melted by Christmas day. Nick and I also needed to get home to start packing for the trip to Arizona!
The day after Christmas, we went out to Wearmouth's to see my sister and Chad. They were having their big family Christmas that day. Wish we could have seen them for longer!!
