Happy Easter!
It hasn't been that long since I last updated, but it has been an eventful week again. Gracie has been doing well, but has had stuff coming out of her right ear. I finally took her in on Saturday after she wouldn't take a bottle on Friday night, which is really not like her. After waiting in the doctor's office for quite some time, we found that she has a double ear infection. she has not been all that fussy or abnormal, at least not until this weekend. They gave us antibiotics and ear drops, so hopefully this will clear up quickly. Ever since her doctor's appt, she hasn't been acting quite right.
Nick and I went out to eat on Friday night and tried to go shopping, but Gracie just wasn't very happy for most of the night. Again, not like her. Then Saturday night we had a babysitter for the first time and I went to a fight at Hilton with some friends. Nick was working, so I didn't really get to see him much. Gracie was great for the babysitter. She fell asleep around 6:45pm, woke up for a bottle around 8:45 and then went right back to sleep. Go figure.
We all went to Nick's mom's after church for Easter. Gracie got to go out and meet the horses. It was till a little bit chilly, but a relatively nice day. It was so good to see everyone again! Gracie got an Easter basket and loves playing with the plastic eggs. She is getting into anything she can get her hands on. She doesn't understand "no" yet. Hmmm...Will she ever????
She found Jasmine's water bowl this weekend and dumped that on herself. At least we don't have the dog food out all the time. I have tried giving her those puff cereal things, but she doesn't seem to like those very much. She makes a funny face and spits them out. She has started grinding her teeth (she has four now) when she is eating. Hopefully she is just learning how to use them and it will quickly pass. It drives both Nick and me crazy. She was up from 2pm yesterday until she went to bed around 8:30pm . She was very tired, but would not sleep. I'm hoping that just has something to do with being sick. She was not a happy baby last night. Hopefully today will be better. She is much happier when she has a good nap.
Gracie moved up to the next room at daycare. Now she is in the Ladybug room. I guess she holds her own with the bigger babies. They said that she could be the shortest walker. I think she really wants to walk, but she's just not there yet. She pulls herself up on things and knows how to do it, but not quite coordinated enough to put it all together. I think it will come sooner than we're ready for, though.
