Gracie has her first Christmas under her belt now. It was a lot of excitement and a lot of fun. We celebrated Christmas with all of Nick's siblings down at his mom's on the 21st. Gracie got a new rocking horse, cowgirl boots and many other things to play with from her grandparents and aunts and uncles. She did really well and was happy as usual.
She went to the ISU men's basketball game on the 23rd with Grammy and Grandpa Blyth and then spent the day with them on the 24th. We had lunch at our house with my parents and grandma, which was really nice. Gracie was also spoiled appropriately by them. She got a new exersaucer and new clothes. We all went to the Christmas Eve service at church and Gracie slept through that. Then Nick and I headed down to his mom's to stay with them on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day was spent at the Merrill's and all the kids were excited about what Santa brought for them. I think Nick and Josh probably saw Santa that night since they were up so late... Gracie took some pretty long naps and was very pleasant. We got to go sledding on Christmas Day, which was pretty fun. Nick took his snowboard, but didn't really like having to walk all the way up the hill. We have had plenty of snow and the temperature was actually in the 20's on Christmas Day.
Gracie is still doing about the same. She just keeps growing and changing. We think she is starting to teeth because she is drooling so much and chewing on everything. She is still sleeping through the night, most nights and is pretty happy most of the time. She's using her vocal cords a lot more and is very noisy. She is so fun to watch and play with. I'm so glad we got to see so many people over Christmas I just wish there was more time!
