Two months old!
Gracie loves being held by Grandma while she's sleeping!
It has been awhile since I updated our blog. We have been pretty busy. Gracie is two months old today and for the first time she slept from 10:30pm to about 6:45am. I was so excited when I woke up this morning! Gracie went into daycare on Tuesday while I had a job interview to work as a student assistance counselor at Ames High School and Middle School. It would be doing the same thing, just working in the schools. We'll see how that goes... Gracie did pretty well at daycare. She will be taken care of by "Grandma" Judy and Lindsey on a daily basis. They seem to like her and told me that she is a good baby and a really good eater. Of course, I already knew that! :) Gracie has also started sucking on her fists more. Every once in awhile she will get her thumb, which I believe is her goal. She talks and will try to repeat the sounds that you make to her. It is pretty neat when she does that. She also can hold her head up pretty well now and doesn't need a whole lot of assistance anymore.
Last week we went down to Grandma Deb's to make cookies and other things to freeze for Christmas. That was pretty fun, and we picked a good day to do it, as it rained all day. Over the weekend we went to Indianola to help Jeremy move to his new house. It was good to see everyone for a little bit and Gracie got to meet her Aunt Cassie. Gracie does pretty well most of the time when she is around a lot of people.
We are getting her routine down pretty well, but I'm sure that will all change again once I go back to work. I have next week off still, and then I start back on November 10. I don't know where the days have gone! We will also be having Gracie's baptism on November 9, so we will get to see a lot of the family again and both my parents and my sister are coming up for that.
I guess that's about it for Gracie. We have Halloween this week and another weekend full of things to do. Nick is busy as always. There is a cross country meet at ISU, men's basketball scrimmage on Saturday, and women's basketball on Sunday. Nick is also getting ready to start another wrestling season at Ballard. It is nice because he is able to take Gracie to some of the events and I can either go too, or take a little break.
