The Brittons

 Before updating  on recent activities, I need to get this down so I can come back here and laugh over and over again. We don't often get to sit down as a family to eat together, but sometimes when we do, it is so entertaining. I'm not used to descriptive writing and I'll try to remember details.  Dinner was enchiladas on Monday, January 20.  We were sitting in our "assigned" seats; Nick across from me, Gracie to my left, and Owen across from her next to Nick. Conversation was pretty slow and typical to start. Silence bothers Gracie a little so she starts talking about nonsense and weird things. She is playing with the grapes in her mouth. I was told they were really good grapes and extra crunchy, so she made sure we could hear them crunch when she chewed. Owen looked annoyed but didn't say anything as he was scratching his plate with his fork. Also very annoying. Conversation shifted from many different topics and I cannot remember all of them. A fun way to end 2024 Kind of last minute get together with our neighbors...improvised progressive dinner.  From 7pm until midnight (or later) we made our way around the Bentlage area, visiting different houses with games, food, and fun!  This was the best New Year's I have had in awhile.  Moving to a different location every hour or hour and a half passed the time very quickly and allowed us to see a lot of people throughout the evening.  We started at our house and ended at Talleys', bringing in the new year and staying way longer than intended. Only missing some of the Drummonds here. They were hosting a lot of 7th graders at their house. Stop at Drummonds' I seem to have missed the black shirt memo. Fun times with friends at Drummonds' And games were played.  I am not very good at flip cup tic-tac-toe. Bonnot's house One round of "trash" took the entire alotted time.
