Has It Already Been a YEAR?!

Yep, that's right.  One year ago yesterday we made our move to Columbia.  I can't believe it.  So much has changed and happened in the past year, but it seems like just yesterday that we were packing up in Huxley and heading down south to Missouri.  All of those little details that seemed like a blur during those last few weeks, I can remember so vividly now.  All of our friends that were there to help, all of the "lasts" that the kids and I had, and taking time to enjoy friends who we still miss dearly.  We were so blessed to be in such a great community, but also to be welcomed into our new community.  The kids are happy and involved in lots of activities.  They keep us busy almost every day.  They have made friends and have adapted so much better than I could have hoped for.  I didn't think that we would still be renting, but we're making progress, and have at least bought some land so we can build again.  Over time there have be...

From Picking out a Tree to the New Year

OK.  Here we go, closing out 2016.  There are lots of new things for our family.  Once again, it has been over a month since I added more adventures of our family.  After our Thanksgiving, the month of December flew by.  We picked out our Christmas tree as a family right away.  We had  holiday parties, saw Santa, went to Mizzou events, and even got to ice skate on our driveway.  Gracie and Owen get so excited whenever there is winter weather, and spend as much time as possible playing outside in it, even when it is really cold.  We had many Christmas celebrations including our new Mizzou family, a trip to see my parents, and two trips up to Iowa to see family.  We also closed on our land and will begin building as soon as possible in 2017.  Here is the past month in review.  Another holiday season has come and gone with lots of activities to share.  There is quite a bit here; sorry for such a long post.
