WOW.  It's kind of ironic that a post from the night we moved into our "new" house, five years ago popped up on Nick's facebook page this morning.  It was a video of Gracie, who was three at the time, and Owen, who was one, dancing around the new house avoiding the furniture that was scattered.  It was also exactly one year ago that Nick spent his last night in that house as an Iowa resident.  How quickly things can change.  Sometimes life doesn't care about the plans you have in your head.  Now here we are, getting ready to close on land and start building again.  We get an opportunity to fix everything that we didn't like in our first house!  Not that there was a lot that would be changed.  I have been hesitant to post anything because I am so worried that something might not work out.  We have been working on this for a couple months now, and we finally have a closing date of December 27.  We a...

This seems about right; it's been about a month again since my last post. It's amazing how quickly the weeks fly by.  I believe the last time I wrote, the kids had participated in a fun run and had also been riding horses, among other things.  This month has been similar, but the kids and I have taken two trips to Iowa.  Hopefully the pictures will jog my memory of all our activities. Well, it has been one month to the day since my last post.  It seems like we have something going on almost every day.  We are still in the middle of football and soccer for Owen and Gracie.  Gracie has also started dance and tumbling at a dance studio here in Columbia.  We have managed to fit a few other activities in, too.  We took an afternoon to go fishing at our neighbor's and the kids each caught a fish, which was pretty exciting. I was shocked that Gracie wanted to hold her fish. Owen has a wind up for his cast. Here we are at the Mizzou game against Georgia.  It was another night game, so we didn't stay for the whole thing.  We were ahead going into the 4th quarter, so I thought we would pull it off, but ended up losing by one. Bummer. School pictures! Gracie's soccer game Gracie has been learning a lot more about soccer and the different positions played.  I still think it's kind of weird that all the...
